Conceal, Reinforce, and Alter
When creating these illustrations, I began examining the different relationships between layers. I classified these interactions into three categories: hide, reinforce, and change.Hiding occurs when a layer conceals the meaning of the layer beneath it. Reinforcing is similar to the tracing the red practice, where each layerstrengthens the meaning of the original layer.Changing involves following the original shape while altering it slightly, thus modifying the original meaning and creating new interpretations.layers can interact in complex ways, sometimes preserving the core idea while introducing new nuances.
